GSM Round cutter is useful for precise circular cutting to check grammage of samples. The sample cutter cuts out circular specimen of 100 Cm2, which is exactly 1 / 100th of a square meter, rapidly and accurately. The result is grams, multiplied by 100, gives the GSM (Grams per square meter) directly. Grams per Square Meter = Specimen Weight in Grams x 100
‘S.K’ Button Snap Pull Tester’ is an user friendly equipment to test ‘SNAP STRENGTH’ of buttons/rivets/joints to ensure that it meets design tolerance and safety levels, particularly in baby clothing.
The equipment comprises of-
IMADA Push-Pull force gauge of 30 Kgf.
Vertical stand to hold the gauge with arrangement to change the position of gauge.
Base which houses the frame to grip the attachment

Standard Test Method for Resistance to Unsnapping of Snap Fasteners
LIGH Fastness Tester is used to determine the color fastness and degradation of textiles to Sunlight. All dyed material experience change in colour when exposed to daylight, for a sufficiently long period, because of the action of sunlight.
The equipment is operated by a gear motor, and the arm moves in an oscillating motion over the test specimen with a specified load & diameter (approximately of a fore-finger). The rubbing finger has a flat base which is covered with a piece of standard white crocking cloth, which in turn is held by a stainless steel spring clip and is made to move over the test sample in an oscillating motion. The rubbing finger has a flat base which is covered with a piece of standard white crocking cloth, which in turn is held by a stainless steel spring clip and is made to move over the test sample in an oscillating motion. The crocking cloth picks up the color lost by the sample under test. A 3 digit reset counter is provided to enable it to take the desired number of rubs and the same is displayed on the digital counter. The Test specimen is held by the Abrasive paper with the help of an acrylic plate mounted on the solid base and the equipment is finished with a metallic paint adding to its aesthetic appeal.
Crockmeter is used for the determination of color Fastness of textiles against rubbing under either DRY or WET condition. Crockmeter Motorised is an advanced version of the hand operated Crockmeter.

Crockmeter Motorised is an advanced version of the hand operated Crockmeter. These machines are operated by a gear motor in which the arm moves in an oscillating motion over the test sample. A Pre-cut crocking cloth is mounted on the rubbing finger and is held in place with a spring clip. The finger is rests on the specimen with a force of 9 ± 10% N (917.43 gms). Motion to the finger is given by a Handle, which moves very smoothly on a Stainless Steel Movement Platform.
Perspirometer is used for determining the resistance of color, of all kinds and forms textiles, to the action of human perspiration. Color Fastness of dyed or printed fabrics against perspiration is determined by exposing the fabric sample to the action of both alkaline and acidic reagents, while in contact with un-dyed adjacent fabrics, placed between plastic plates under a fixed load inside an oven maintained at 370 centigrade.
Yarn has sufficient tensile strength to withstand the stresses of preparation and fabric manufacture. The main function of twist is to give coherence to the yarn i.e. twist provide strength to the yarn. The cohesion arises mainly from the twist, which presses the fibres together, as the stretching forces are applied & thus, developing friction between adjacent fibres. The equipment used for determination of twists of a yarn is known as a Twist Tester.
The Tearing Strength Tester works on the principle of measuring the Internal tearing resistance, which is the force perpendicular to the plane of the fabric required to propagate a single-rip or tear of a defined length from a cut in the fabric when a sudden force is applied. The force required to continue a slit previously cut in a fabric is determined by measuring the work done in tearing the fabric through a fixed distance.
The apparatus consists of a pendulum carrying a clamp which is in alignment with a fixed clamp. The pendulum is in raised, starting position with maximum potential energy. The tear force is computed from scale reading and pendulum capacity. Specimens in warp direction and 5 in weft direction shall be cut. No two test specimen shall contain the same warp and weft threads, and no specimen shall be cut within 150 mm of the edge of the fabric.
Pilling Tester is designed to test the pilling (hair ball) characteristic of fabric and knit fabric cloths. Pilling is a fabric surface fault characterized by little pills of entangled fibers clinging to the surface. Pilling Tester is designed to test the pilling (hair ball) characteristic of fabric and knit fabric cloths. Pilling is a fabric surface fault characterized by little pills of entangled fibers clinging to the surface. Pills are formed during wearing or washing, by the entanglement of the loose fibers, which protrude from fabric surface.
